Wow-I thought I would be better at keeping up this blog but time has been flying by!! I'm at work right now but I will post pictures when I'm home. We've been very busy. Paca & Elaine came to visit the weekend before Halloween so we went to a Pumpkin patch and picked pumpkins and rode the train and shot tomatoes out of a tomato gun among other things. Lots of fun. Then we carved all the pumpkins-should have waited though because they all rotted before Halloween and we had to go back and do more on Halloween day!
The kids had a great time trick-or-treating. I think this is the first year I stayed home and handed out candy & they got to walk with Daddy! My good friend Jody has spent every Halloween with us until this year because she and her family moved back to Wisconsin so it was a very different and slightly depressing Halloween for me.
Jack's baseball team has won all their games and the season ends next weekend. Us girls will be in Mesa at a 2-day dance workshop & competition. Sure to spend lots 'o Christmas money on dance attire. Sophie's going to come dance her heart out too and keep me company.
Max won 3rd place in the Strongest Punch contest at his karate tournament last weekend. Same exact thing Jack won when he did it at Max's age. The tournament was last Sunday and I worked Saturday & Sunday night so I met them there and took the other kids home. When they got home and he was showing off his trophy and medals I asked if it was fun and he said "No Mom-I just did some punching and kicking and then got some trophies and came home" Life might be pretty disappointing for this kid. I can just hear it now-him in 40 years, "I just won the Nobel Peace prize and got a million bucks and came home-how boring"!!! Ahh-to be 5 years old again!!!
